I love this video about a couple who gets it!

CSA stands for community supported agriculture. This is when someone buys a "membership" to a farmer and they receive a box of fresh produce every week. CSA is awesome because it gives farmers reassurance that their crops have somewhere to go once they are harvested, and also helps with food waste.

CSA benefits farmers and the consumer. The farmer is able to market his or her food before they start working in the field, and is payed early in the season (which helps them remain financially stable). It is also really amazing to get the chance to see the people who eat the food you grow, and see the person who grows your food. This is a relationship that is lost in our current food system. The food you receive will be super fresh and contain all the vitamins it is supposed to have, and you might even find new fruits and vegetables you like. Also a trip to a farm keeps you grounded by reminding you not to take your food for granted.

Support your farmers not corporations

xoxo Bridget
